My league didn't have problems with relatives in it. At one point, six teams were related (father, two sons acting as co-owners, son, nephew, nephew and brother-in-law of one of the nephews) plus there was an unrelated father and son combination. The last two owners weren't very strong, but they always stayed interested in the league to the end of the season, even if they both seemed destined to finish out of the money, because they had an annual side bet on which of their two teams would finish higher.

Turnover happened gradually and we haven't had any relatives since 2019 other than a grandfather / grandson combo that are co-owners.

In one league I was in. We put in a rule. Family member trades get voted upon by the league. Since we had a similar situation

For a couple of decades I've enjoyed competing with two of my brothers in each of an AL and NL league. Never a problem. Now a son of one of them has his own team. It's been great, with not a hint of any kind of favoritism.

In some of my leagues, we have fathers and sons and brothers. But they are highly competitive good players and want to beat each other, Nepotism doesn't enter the picture. Dump trades equally as likely (keeper leagues) in non-relatives as relatives.

And the same team that accepted the Grayson and L. Gil trade two days earlier offered me K. Campbell and Spencer Jones for Judge.

                Zero father/son problems.
And I totally forgot... We've had two brothers from the very beginning (1990). No issues.
