My league didn't have problems with relatives in it. At one point, six teams were related (father, two sons acting as co-owners, son, nephew, nephew and brother-in-law of one of the nephews) plus there was an unrelated father and son combination. The last two owners weren't very strong, but they always stayed interested in the league to the end of the season, even if they both seemed destined to finish out of the money, because they had an annual side bet on which of their two teams would finish higher.
Turnover happened gradually and we haven't had any relatives since 2019 other than a grandfather / grandson combo that are co-owners.
