HQ Glossary shows Pitching BPV: (Dominance Rate x 6) + (Command Ratio x 21) - (Expected Opp. HR Rate x 30) - ((Opp. Batting Average - .275) x 200). Glossary has Opposition batting average (OBA)as (Hits Allowed / ((IP x 2.82) + Hits Allowed)).
Using the HQ Glossary formulas, JVazquez has 182 BPV and DHaren has 196 BPV. More detailed:
Vazquez = (10.9x6)+(6.2x21)-(.8x30)-((.224-.275)x200)
Vazquez = (65.4)+(130.2)-(24)-(-10.2)=181.8
Yet the HQ website has JVazquez with 166 BPV and DHaren with 142 BPV.
Have any of these formulas changed ? If so, what are the current formulas ?
If formulas have not changed, what is the error in the calculations shown above ?
Thanks.
