That would be awesome, fingers crossed! It is always my first step figuring out the tiers and dollar values using my league settings. Doing things differently can sometimes lead to new and better ways of doing something, but getting back to my routine will be comforting. I can't wait.

BaseballHQ, Can you please provide the "HITS" category for points leagues (CDG). Thanks.

Hi, I'm using CDG to prep for my draft coming up in a few days. I am requesting Blown Saves as a category for points leagues. I'm not sure if that's something you project, but at least I would like to run it for last year's stats and see how that affected the value of relievers... who right now seem too inflated when I look at last year's stats for CDG.
I personally wouldn't use BS as a category, but I'm not the commish of this league, so trying to make the best of it.

        Thanks for any help!

A follow-up question... is grid view broken for points leagues in the CDG? The lists are looking decent at a glance in table-view but the grid view seems to be displaying completely random players in a bulk list with no separation/tiers etc like it usually does.

I understand some of the things on the new site are works-in-progress but I'm finding it hard to keep track of what works correctly and what doesn't... is there a place where subscribers can read a summary of the functionality/WIP items for this new site in one space?

There's been years where I've read every HQ article and table over the winter, and others where I have skimmed and ramped up in the late winter... this year happens to be a year where I haven't had time until right now to focus on fantasy baseball. I did listen to one of Ray's interviews on the podcast about new features, and was excited about it, but I'm disappointed in some (not all) of the user experience so far. I'm finding this transition particulary brutal as I need to be very efficient with my fantasy time... something I've always relied on HQ for, because it was always rock-solid and even if the site was old, I had EVERYTHING at my fingertips. I've tried other sites, and some of them do a couple of things well, but most of them lack consistency and/or reliability. Most of the other sites certainly lack the history and archive that I love about HQ... especially those "News" tabs that are gone from playerlink... such an underrated resource to hit ctrl F or apple F on a player page and search for their rating, injury histories etc... and it was all text on one page! you can't get that anywhere else! and now you can't get it here. And yes, the old Team tracking tool, whatever it was called, was wonky, but my teams and settings were in there, and I just loaded it and printed my CDG, and off to the draft.

I got into a rant, but it's because this is the one fantasy site that I love. This year it was the only site I planned to subscribe to, as is usually the case. I considered editing what I just wrote because it went a bit off the rails but I'm leaving it, because I think HQ values longtime players and subscribers and needs to hear our thoughts about this transition. It's nice to be able to see things easier on my phone, etc, and upgrades had to happen, I get it... just feeling a bit frustrated right now. I'm worried what else is missing that was considered as unimportant to this upgrade. I'm sure there are additions I'll grow to love as well.

thanks for listening. I'm not angry, hope it doesn't come across that way (I actually am a little angry about the "News" tab. Were any readers polled about this going away?)... this is just throwing me for a loop. and also, to reiterate my actual question, how about the grid view for points leagues?

Yes, grid is broken for points league. Expecting an update on that today.

We're trying to post regular site updates, there's a running list of updates on this page: https://www.baseballhq.com/articles/...ates-wednesday

And we just changed the layout of the Content (News) tab this morning. Take a look at that, it's much closer to what we were aiming for in the transition.

              thanks for the reply.
while I appreciate that you're trying to make the content tab better, for me, nothing is going to replace that long text "news" page that I could ctrl-F with or just do a quick scroll straight to the bottom then read slowly back up to get a great read on a player's progress to date. I don't plan to spend much time clicking thru links and searching individual articles. the beauty of that News tab was all the text on one long page. To paraphrase 80's rock band Cinderella, I didn't know what I had til it was gone...

Yeah, I do understand that part of the change is painful, but we aren't going back to that. As mentioned either above or elsewhere, it just wasn't sustainable to get all of the content in there manually. Frankly, in last couple of years we weren't doing a very good job of it anyway. But you don't as easily notice if there's something written on the site that never got into that News tab... that was happening a lot.

The function I used most often on the news tab -- besides skimming thru career injury history -- was looking at their prospect ranking write-up. Would it be possible down the line to maybe get a "minors" tab that had their initial prospect ranking and write-up, and any subsequent updates to the prospect ranking? Maybe even get the "First Impressions" hits archived in that tab?

If it's not coming back, trying to shift to some constructive ideas that could fill the gap.

                  Again, thanks for listening.

Let's live with the changes we made for a while, see how they work. We're open to further changes down the road.

Any update on getting grids for points leagues in the CDG? Less importantly but still requested... blown saves as a category for CDG?
My draft is this weekend, would really like to have that grid handy.
                      Thanks.

I've got a call with the tech team this afternoon, should have some updates after that.

Update: it's definitely coming today. I've got my hands on it, going to test it some this afternoon. It looks good. Points league dollar values, grid working properly, keepers just like in the roto section. Should be live around 5pm.

Can't promise yet on the missing categories, but they are pushing for that today too.

The fix is in! Points leagues have dollar value settings, a good/useful grid output, and keeper league support just like roto leagues.

Just be careful when using a league you've already created, you'll want to make sure you set your league budget/$ settings properly, since you didn't have those options before.

Thanks for your patience on this one...

(more categories coming tonight, btw... but I'm not totally sure which ones).
