I play in a Very Good, 11 team, NL only, 5X5 keeper league that will draft in WLA area on Wednesday, April 6.
One of the partners of an original franchise is traveling a great deal more now for business and out of the country for more than half the year so he needs to withdraw - his partner would still like to play so that leaves TWO options for someone to join this league which generally runs $700-800 per year for entries.
Auction night would have the keepers confirmed and auction off all the remaining 23 roster spots, then have three man reserve draft (teams getting an extra pick for any drafted player who is on the DL), then a five round minor league draft (teams can keep up to eight minor leaguers, paying $10 each for them - mlers have a $5 salary once activate).
So here are the two ways one could join
1) Become 50-50 partner with the existing owner which means someone join without having to be at the draft in person (free to be on phone or computer with your partner)
2) Take over the entire franchise yourself (but then must be at draft or send a representative to draft for you).
