We've got a great group of guys. Most play football and baseball together and have been in the league for over five years.
This year we're expanding from 12 teams to 15 teams. We're looking for three additional owners who want to compete in a fun, no drama league (that's the league name because we really think this should be about competitive fun).
Entry fee is $250. We use CBSsportsline and outside of paying for the league site ($90 this year) every penny goes back into the winnings.
We're a 6 by 6 mixed league with:
OBPS
BA
R
HR
SB
RBI
W
QS
ERA
WHIP
K
SO
Positions:
C
1B
2B
3B
SS
MI
CI
5 OF
UT (any offensive player is eligible for our UT spot)
7 SP
2 RP
5 bench slots
For position players- eligility is determined by 20 games last year at any given position OR 20 games this year.
For pitchers- 5 games started qualifies a pitcher for SP while 10 games in relief qualifies a pitcher for RP. In order to avoid dual eligibility with guys like Kevin Correia or Joba Chamberlin, any player used in the RP slots can not accumulate statistics garnered through starting.
If a player is put on the DL, we feature unlimited DL spots. Any player suspended; however, is not eligible for the DL and must take up one of the five roster spots.
Any rules changes are brought up at auction the previous year and then voted on for the next season- majority rules.
We encourage trading and have a very active league with no veto issues to speak of. If you think a trade is unfair, you must post your reason on the message board. If half the non-involved parties believe it to be unfair the trade is sent to our 'trade review committe' of three established owners (we have reserve members should any of the aforementioned review members be involved in the disputed trade). Two of the three review members must agree the trade is collusive in order for it to be overturned. Again, can't stress how this is not an issue in our league. Last year we had one deal that generated two message board vetos...and we trade a lot.
The auction is going to be held at Jerry's Deli in West Hollywood on March 14th from noon until 5 pm.
Anyone interested feel free to contact me at VFaiola2@hotmail.com.
