We have an opening in our 12 team 5x5 AL only rotisserie league, which has been in operation since 1984. League is Seattle-area based but auction takes place on line, so owners can be anywhere you can get a stable internet connection. Classic "Ultra" roto rules ($260 auction budget) with some roster adjustments (1 C, 1 IF, 2 UT, 10 P, 12 reserve spots) and minor rule changes (most notably a salary cap and rule that players traded to NL after auction can be kept for remainder of season). We use Fantrax so owners adjust rosters daily; weekly FAAB auctions. The league is competitive but low $ stakes (less than $200 total investment per year), and owners are good, fun individuals. New owner would take over an existing roster with some good keepers. Contact me if interested.

I saw on BBHQ that you are looking for owners for your Seattle-based league. The WJL - Washington, D.C. based - is doing the same for the 2025 season. Like yourselves, we are an auction league but with a preference for in-person drafting. For us, the realities of the times means that we can no longer have 100% local ownership, so we're looking for anyone who might be willing to take a team and draft via Zoom. By chance, do you have any owners who might be interested in a second league and take one of our two teams? I am definitely not trying to poach any of your owners! Can you circulate this e-mail? I can do the same among our 7 other owners for your league. I'll paste in below the particulars of the ad I placed on BBHQ. It's a different kind of solution but I thought it worth a shot. Feel free to give them my e-mail.
Thanks for your consideration.

Dave Jeffery

The Walter Johnson League
WALTER JOHNSON LEAGUE - Washington, D.C.
An AL-only classic 4X4 league is seeking two new owners to take over existing teams. We are a 38 year-old, 10-team league. Obviously, very stable. We draft, preferably in-person, in Alexandria, VA, on Sunday, March 30. BUT several owners participate by Zoom, so that is acceptable. Draft takes about 6 hours. Not a high stakes league. In it for fun, $50 total cost. One available team has Bobby Witt, Jr., Jose Ramirez, Anthony Volpe, Anthony Santander, Rafael Devers, but a salary crunch. Third place last season. Other team finished seventh, some work to do. They have Brent Rooker, J.J. Bleday, Parker Medows, Jordan Westburg, Anthony Munoz, Zach Eflin, Kutter Crawford, Brayan Bello.
