I created the Viral Ultra League in April 2020, to cope with Covid--19, which of course cancelled a number of live auctions. Also, many leagues didn't run due to the shortened MLB season. The concept of this league remains viable post-Covid, so if it appeals to any BHQ subscribers, apply within!
This is a 12-team, 5X5 contest with a $1000 EF. Prizes are fully distributed to the top 4 finishers. Owners are from all 4 time zones, so this a SLOW (4-hour window per pick) straight draft that will be conducted from about March 5 through about March 18. Typically, the draft lasts about 3-4 days.
It is a keeper league, where you MUST freeze 23 players. The two new owners (recruited here, or elsewhere) will engage in restocking draft against each other to fill their rosters, going into the main draft, to commence about March 5, online. We use Onroto--many here are familiar with the excellent site. The sole league expense is the $100 Onroto website fee.
The slow draft will be of an ADDITIONAL 22 players, including Farm (Dynasty) players that may be taken in any of the 22 rounds.
The active, in-season roster, which you can change every Sunday evening (weekly transactions) consists of your 23 keepers plus the 22 players you draft this March.
The commissioner of this league is Jim St. Clair of Virginia Beach. I'm the treasurer from the Dallas, TX area.
