We are looking for a new owner for 2023 season in, primarily, the Wisconsin/Northern Illinois/Eastern Minnesota areas. AMBL started in 1977 and is in its 41st consecutive year (45 overall) with a LIVE mixed-league draft (not an auction) in Madison, WI. We are currently a 14 team league looking to add one owner for 2023. We are a cumulative point’s style fantasy league with weekly transactions. This is NOT a roto or H2H league.
We are looking for owners who are committed to a league long-term. The average length of ownership in our league is 8 years.
We use 11 batting statistics, and 11 pitching statistics to calculate how many points we get. We have limited keeper rules so it’s a semi-dynasty league – we only get to protect 5 players each - so they'll be plenty of quality players available for an expansion team and they can be competitive right away. In the past 5 years there have been new owners who have won the league or finished in the top 3 in their first 2 years.
Our point scoring system is:
Batting – R=1, H=1, 2B=1, 3B=2, HR=2, RBI=1, SB=1, CS=minus 1, BB=0.5, K=minus 0.5, E=minus 1
Pitching – W=4.5, L=minus 3, Save=4.5, Hold=3, BS=minus 3, QS=1, IP=1.5, H=minus 0.5, ER=minus 0.5, BB=minus 0.5, K=0.5
The 2023 draft is March 25, 2023 - 5 days before Opening Day. I am currently planning on an in-person draft in Madison, WI. You must attend the draft to participate in the league.
