CBS is used to manage the league website. There is a $100 salary cap and modified salary escalation structure, with prospects starting with a $0 salary and all other players $1. Salaries increase year over year according to performance tiers based on end-of-season player rankings. Top performers get a $3 salary increase, the next level of performers get a $2 increase, and a larger pool of remaining players (roughly equal to the total of the first two groups) get a $1 increase (except for a very number of players who get a handful of ABs or IPs, who get no salary increase). No more than 23 players can be kept from one year to the next. I can provide more details to anyone who is interested.
Payout structure: 1st place $500, 2nd place $250, 3rd place $150, 4th place $100. The draft order is a modified inverse of final standings, which rewards second division players for not tanking. The draft order is 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st. The draft is not a snake draft, so it is 1-10, 1-10, etc. The number of rounds for a particular team depends on the number of their keepers.
The league has been in operation since 2016, with one of the original owners leaving after deciding he doesn't have the time now to do justice to a daily league. His team finished 7th last season, so there is some work to do. Some notable keeper candidate players and 2023 salaries include Realmuto ($4), Betts ($6), Hoerner ($4), Josh Bell ($11), Bryan Reynolds ($8), Nolan Gorman ($1), Musgrove ($7), and Wainwright ($6). Noteworthy $0 prospects include Jordan Walker and Marco Luciano. There are other productive players on this roster, but beauty will be in the eye of the beholder. ;-)
I am a co-commissioner. Message me if you are interested.
