keeper constitution. pick your keepers at least 4 days before the beginning of the season 2017
I need to know in order to set up the rounds for drafting.
This is how it will work to start it off. Next year we can keep two players for up to three years. You can not keep players that are drafted by your team in the first or second round. You cannot keep players taken from the free agency. You cannot keep traded players.
The first year you keep the players the cost will be the round you picked the keeper, you are skipped that round. For instance, you pick Beltre in the 13th round this year, and you want to keep him. Next year you give up the 13 round.
The second year if you wish to keep the same two players, the cost will be two rounds earlier. So keeping Beltre will cost you the 11th round pick.
The third year will be the last year you can keep the same players. The third year the cost will be four rounds earlier. So keeping Beltre will cost you the 9th round.
You cannot keep players that will cost you beyond the first round. For instance you draft Beltre in the fourth round, and you want to keep him. Next year it cost you the 4th round. The second year it cost you the 2nd round, and because the third year it cost 4 rounds, it will take you beyond the first round, you cannnot keep him.
You are not required to keep any players. You can always drop your keepers from the previous year, and choose new ones, or choose none.
You are not required to keep any of your keeper players during the year either. For instance you kept Beltre and gave up a round for him, if Beltre breaks his leg during the year, or whatever reason, you can drop him. You are not required to keep the players you kept in the previous year. But once dropped, he is no longer a keeper.
You can trade away your keepers also, but once traded they are no ones keeper per rules above to keep players.
You do not have to announce your keepers until 4 days before the next years draft. (in other words, you do not announce your keepers at the end of the year, you announce them 4 days before the draft, or earlier if you wish.)
if interested send me mp..thx, and good luck during the season.
