HQ problem in Google, but not Windows?

This morning (and all day) when I log into HQ, immediately after the home page loads it is hijacked by the ubiquitous AdChoice and goes to full screen random ad (and stays there). I assumed it might be my problem, but I haven't had any issues with numerous other sites.

Luckily, I tried Windows Internet and the HQ site comes up and behaves normally. Any ideas on what is going on?

Have actually heard a couple of cases like this in the past few days. In those cases, clearing browser cache seems to fix the problem. Sounds like some kind of adware.
