So how do I retain the nice color coding of the CDG grid on export? I have tried clicking the export button and cut-n-paste from the page into Excel and neither works. Printing directly from the web page doesn't work as it chops off some of the last column even in landscape.

It's a little more art than science, depends on your web browser and your version of Excel. Try using 'Paste Special' instead of a regular paste, that tends to pick up more of the formatting stuff.
Also, depending on what display options you have turned on (Show Dollars, MM, other positions, etc), you might be able to kill a couple of those to get it to print natively.
