  • Pri pos field in projections

I generated a CSV file with BHQ's 2014 projections. One field, "pri pos", I assume means primary position for the player.

There is a number value for "pri pos" - is there a map somewhere of what number maps to what position? And what does the "Qlfy" field mean? (positions the player qualifies for?)

Also for "pri pos" some players have negative values (towards the end of the batter list) - what do those map to?

Not sure about the negative values, but yes, "pri pos" does mean primary position, and "Qlfy" means all the positions that player qualifies for in 2014 based on standard qualification rules.

    0-DH
    2-Catcher
    3-1B
    4-2B
    5-3B
    6-SS
    7-LF
    8-CF
    9-RF

    Just standard baseball scoring terminology.

Thanks. My mistake on the negative numbers - that was for dollar values for the batters at the end of the list.

To augment Nick's answer, the QLFY is based on 20 games the previous year.
