Editing Thread Titles

Is there a way to edit the title of a thread that you start? When I edit the first post in the thread (mine), the title is the title of the post, not the thread.

The moderators (including me) can edit the thread titles but I don't think there's a method for subscribers to do that. If you want a title edited, feel free to mention it and chances are high that a moderator will read the thread and edit it as you requested.
