  • RotoLab Question

The rotolab site has patch updates a couple of times a week but should I also be importing the latest BHQ stats updates ? hope this makes sense .
    Thanks !

Yes, you should use Rotolab to import the latest BHQ stats updates separately from the Rotolab patches.

There are two types of updates that are posted on the RotoLab server. One, program updates (the latest update is version 8.11) are updates to the actual code, which could be a bug fix or a new feature added. And two, player projection updates. This are the same BaseballHQ projections that you see here, except they are encrypted and posted for direct downloading into the program to update the players. The latest projection update is 3/6/08.

You can see what the latest version is of each by going to the Notes screen and click on the "News" button. Also, a lot of user are unaware that you can see notes for the players here. Type a player's last name to locate him, then press the [ENTER] key to pull up his BaseballHQ PlayerLink page. Or press the [SHIFT] key to bring up his RotoTimes Notes page. Either will appear in the little browser window below.
