CDG Projections vs 2026 CSV Download Projections

If I wanted to get your most up to date projections at BHQ - would both of these projections be the same? Should I be indifferent in using one or the other or is there one that is the most up to date? I should know the answer to this question but I'm confused this morning. Thank you.

Projections on the site update hourly (not that much changes every hour, but we do re-generate them every hour). So if you run the Custom Draft Guide, you're getting projections as of the top of that hour.

The CSVs update once a day, early in the morning. So the Custom Draft Guide is more current as projections change through the day.

(I'm looking into getting the CSVs to update hourly for the rest of this month, just to eliminate this gap. Will update here if we can do that.)

Update: CSVs are now generating hourly, so there should be no difference in what you see there vs the CDG.

Thank you very much Ray. This is very helpful. I will use the CSV's as opposed to the CDG since the CSV's are listed alphabetically as opposed to the dollar value.

Either of those are easily sorted in Excel or wherever you're using them.

One last question. The 2026 projections under the CSV Downloads - Are the 2026 projections files for Hitter and Pitcher CSV the same as the 2026 projection and YTD files for Hitter and Pitcher CSV? In other words if i am using the CSV Download Center is it okay to be indifferenct between with hitter and pitcher CSV file to use? Thank you.

Yes, those are the same right now. In-season, the YTD+Proj file will contain (obviously) YTD+Proj data, but the YTD section of that file is just blank now. The Proj part of those files is identical.
