When you select grid view and main position only, players continue to show up under multiple positions.

Any idea if/when this will be fixed? In past seasons this tool was extremely useful to me. I used this tool to build my base grid to go to my auction. The option that allowed players to be displayed only once under their primary position is critical. In its current state the tool is not very useful. I would have to do a lot of editing to remove players from multiple positions.

Tech is working on it. I expect it will be fixed in the coming week.

Hmm, doesn't look fixed for me yet, but I know they're working on it.

I’ve got a different CDG issue, but rather than start a new topic…

I‘m in a league that counts OPS not OBP. When I run my CDG report for that league I get a column for OBP but not OPS. Now, I can create an OPS column by adding OBP and SLG, but I’m wondering why my CDG doesn’t return metrics that are relevant to the scoring system of the league I am in.

If CDG is (in very simplistic terms) a query on a database, then is it possible that the columns of the report could match the inputs, ie return OPS and not OBP for this particular league?

                Thanks

That's definitely something we want to add, penfold.

CDG boo boo? I'm in a 6x6,12-team mixed league that uses W+SV+HD as a category. I was very happy to see that as an option to select in the Pitching categories when setting up CDG. Other Pitching categories are Whip, ERA, K's, IP, and OPS-against.

                    UNFORTUNATELY....

When I generate the CDG, all the Relievers are, well, valued stupidly. Here are just a few examples -
                    Díaz, Edwin 31 R RP LA -92
                    Bednar, David 31 R RP NYY -107
All the RP's are WAAAAAY negative in $VAL !!!

Does this mean that there is a problem with the way CDG values the W+Sv+HD category?

Or rather, does it mean that in a 12-team, mixed 6x6, one should just throw out the W+Sv+HD category and go for all starters?

And I just generated values by unchecking W+Sv+HD, and changed it to just Sv+HD. Edwin Diaz is now valued at $7, and Bednar is at $6. So maybe the answer is "yeah - fuggeddabow that stupid relief category" !!!

                    Thanks for the info!

Send me a link to your CDG setup (looks like: https://www.baseballhq.com/tools/cus.../roto/12421) and I'll poke around with it.

I used Hits + Walks per 9 IP as my 6th category as there was nothing similar to OPS-Against. Maybe that's throwing things off? I'll try generating spreadsheet with that unchecked... OMG - tried that, and Edwin Diaz's value went down to -$145. Sweet.

OK, yes, that W+Sv+Hold category looks wonky for sure. I think it is just sorting backwards. I put a -1 weight on it in your config and the results look much better. We'll get that fixed.

Thanks for providing me this work-around. FYI, at negative 1, the relievers are too high (IMHO). It looks pretty decent at -0.25 !!! :-)

Yeah, that's part of the art vs. science of using the CDG. Weighting that category lower is entirely appropriate.
