I am able to post in the Forums, as I am logged in there.
but after having renewed a couple of weeks ago, I now see that I am not signed in to the main page anymore.
it asked me to sign in, and I believe I used the same email and password as always. couldn't get in, so I asked that the password change form be sent to my email address.
that went through a minute later, with an indication that my new password was "STRONG" and that I had been successful in making the change.
back to the HQ login page, enter the email that HQ had just contacted, and entered that exact new password. for that, I get
"500 Server Error"
I thought re-starting the computer would work, but it did not.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !
UPDATE: I actually tried my other email address first, but no luck. asked for a password change request, but that email was not recognized. that's when I doubled back on the other email address, and then seemed to work. now I see that after a couple of minutes, I got an HQ email to the first address after all. changed password there (deemed "ACCEPTABLE," again no luck, again "500 Server Error"
I guess my confusion stems from the fact that I have absolutely no desire to ever be logged off either the main site or the Forums. so I'm at a loss at this point....
