Colson Montgomery projections

Are Colson Montgomery's projections correct? It seems disconnected from his results, though obviously those are a small sample size. He's only at a 25% hit rate and his PX is only 24 points above his xPX, but his OPS projection is 255 points below his results so far.

I discussed Montgomery ten days earlier at Chicago White Sox 2025 Season thread - BaseballHQ.Com Fantasy Baseball Forums . I suspect that the projection is correct given that he was hitting in the .210s in AAA both in 2024 and 2025. However, given the 9C rating, it also is possible that he turned the corner to reach a new level of talent that isn't reflected in the projection.

In the short run, you have to keep holding Montgomery if he already is on your team. He's hitting lots of homers and batting 3rd or 5th in the line-up.
