Just blown away with the new additions to make things easier. One thing that may be unique to a small number of leagues (mine included) is we currently have to choose in the CDG between 10 games and 20 games to determine position eligibility. That is a gap of 10 games. It would make my life easier if the difference was split and 15 games was an added choice. Again, it may just be a small number of leagues with a 15 game requirement but I'd be remiss if I didn't ask if it was possible to set that parameter. Thanks.

In fact, you are both renegades.
The original (1984) September Roster Expansion rule says that you can add one player, for a fee of $50 paid into the prize pool, at a salary of $25.
The first Ultra rules (1989), under which each team has a 40-player roster of which 23 are active at any time, say that you can move an unlimited number of players from your inactive roster to your active roster for a fee of $50 apiece. So if you are willing to pay $850 into the prize pool, you could theoretically have a 40-player active roster.
(I still like the idea of a 40-player roster, to which you cannot add any free agents during the season. You have to make trades to add. But it's no wonder that Ultra didn't catch on.)

well, the original book also said that the 'ante' was $260, which many leagues such as mine converted to $26 because unlike those owners, we were not Manhattan-based publishing moguls.
so our $5 fee for add-a-player was right in line with the original concept, basically meaning you could spend roughly an additional 20% of the entry fee to add an extra player. the salary to this day remains 25-S2.
(we did bump up our ante from $26 to $50 before the 2022 season, which in real dollars was less cost than $26 was in 1984. it also happened to be right before I won, so I appreciated the gesture of a rival owner all the more !)
