Turning off posts

Is there a way to turn off ongoing posts in which you have no interest? So they don't show up in "What's New?"

This might not be exactly what you are looking for, you can mark all channels as read with the link at the bottom of all the listed channels

I think what he's looking for is to permanently not see certain threads (like, for instance, the Forums Master League if you're not in that league)... which I don't think you can do.

Yes that's exactly what I was looking for. No biggy, just wondering if I was missing something.
