Playing Time - Depth Charts

How are decisions made to alter playing time on your depth charts page as the season goes on? As one example Rodolfo Castro hasn't started a game in probably 10 days because his defense is so bad and is only pinch hitting against LHP. Yet you have him still as a full time player with a playing time percentage of 85%. How and when are the decisions made to bring those percentages down to reflect the current situation? i know there is a fine line between reacting to every wiggle and wag to playing time and more permanent changes. How is it determined that something is more permanent? thank you.

It's only 5 games in a row that Castro hasn't started. We're watching the situation, and in fact modified Castro's PT yesterday, but aren't convinced that Marcano and Owings are going to take over that job.
