This isn't an BBHQ question but hoping someone can help a technophobe. I tried to sign up for Zoom so I can attend the First Pitch seminar but can't seem to get the confirmation email from Zoom so that I can download the program. I do see on Google that the confirmation emails are sometimes delayed 24 hours due to high volume.

I made sure my email address was correct and also checked my junk folder. So that's not it.

Obviously their support is non-existent for free users so I'm hoping to get some guidance here. Has anyone else experienced such a delay in getting their confirmation email? THANKS!

OT — just curious, what was the solution here? Would be good to know in case other First Pitchers run into something similar.

I was using my earthlink email account and apparently they have some spam settings that interfere with email from Zoom. So if they just use a Yahoo or Gmail account, they will be fine.

I struggled with it for hours and Larry figured it out in 20 seconds!

You should be able to find a better free email account if you look for one on Alta Vista.

I'm going on Ask Jeeves to get an appropriate response.
