  • Facts/Flukes (March 19 in particular)

Facts/Flukes has always been my favorite feature, and I note some changes in the approach. A few years ago F/F phased out "eye" I think as a result of research (Davitt?) that correlation with K% by itself was stronger (or was it BB%)? The Lawrie note today (a) brings back EYE and (b) introduces something new, 15-R and Ca-R which aren't explained here. (Does "Ca" mean Career? Does "-R" mean regressed? But then Ca-R would mean Career Regressed which seems like an oxymoron.)

PS for Pitchers, really like the use of FpK and Ball% to evaluate CTL and SwK to evaluate DOM.

The categories covered in the F/F analysis aren't meant to be static. We include/exclude them based on which ones are most relevant to the player and the analysis.

The 15-R and CA-R used on Lawrie are explained in the footnotes below the chart... they reflect his 2015 and Career splits vs RH pitching.
