Depth Charts
The new depth charts include players who are not even on the 40 man rosters - at least those listed on the MLB team sites. What is the thinking on this?

It's HQ's first attempt at automating the depth charts for the benefit of the staff while adding clickable links to PlayerLink and TeamLink for the benefit of the subscribers.
It gets its inputs from the same files used for playing time inputs (longtime HQ readers may remember them as the old Player Status Charts), which are used to help develop Ron's projections.
While some of the players aren't on the 40-man rosters, HQ anticipates that they may be added some time during the season.
