  • Splits per half of season

I'm looking for a site that will give me vL/vR splits per half of the season.

I'm sure there is a website to manipulate stats in this way, but I can't find it.

    Thanks in advance!

I only know that baseball-reference.com does vL/vR splits, and 1H/2H splits, but not combined.

Is that not a trend that people are interested in, or are the splits generally so random that it is generally accepted that they do not matter?

MLB.com used to offer "double situational splits" on their player pages that would let you do this, but last time I looked I couldn't find it. Not sure if they removed it altogether, or just put it somewhere that I couldn't find it. That's the only place I've ever seen this.

I think the double splits are going to result in such small sample sizes that it'd be hard to see a trend versus random fluctuation.

Yeah, I either figured it was someplace available that I hadn't seen or it was just something that is too random to be useful. Thanks guys.

Fangraphs just added some double splits to their dashboard.

Our splits sections now include double splits for Home / Away and Handedness so you can can now see how a player did against righties at home vs righties away, and the same for lefties.
