  • Question re: Stolen Bases

Is there anyplace in the site that would give me an indication of how easy a pitcher is to run on?

We can only start 3 OF in my league and while I've got 3 great ones, they're weak in SBs. Juan Pierre is available and I've got room on my bench for him. My thought is to pick him up but only play him on those days when the odds of him getting an SB are good. Any advice would be appreciated.

We don't have that info on the site. You could look somewhere like baseball-reference to check out opposition pitcher/catchers... of course, that would somewhat cover the "can you run on the pitcher/catcher" aspect, but not the "can Pierre get on base against them" aspect.

In general, I think what you're proposing is pretty difficult to do with much success.

You're right, of course, but that's unlikely to stop me.

      (But thanks for your thoughts!)

If you figure out a foolproof system, make sure to come back and share.
