In the Players DB is the BPV now updated with the new formula or is it still the old BPV formula? If it is the old one, when is the transition to the new one going to take place?

You mean the new hitter BPV introduced in Ron's column this week? The site's still running the old formula, I suspect we'll keep it that way through the end of the season. We typically do a whole pass at updating new formulas, etc, as part of updating the site with the first 2010 projections in December.
If we do make the change sooner, I'm sure we'll announce it on the subscriber home page.
