Player Proj: Difference between "R$" and "5x5"

Apologies for the newbie question but while I was using the player projection files I noticed that there are two pricing columns. Before posting here I checked the glossary but couldn't find anything that explains the difference between the R$ and 5x5 columns. Can anyone help me?

R$ is 4x4 category scoring, as opposed to the 5x5 column.

It's a bit of an anachronism, I think.

The number was always 4x4, iirc, but then 5x5 came along and at first it was treated as an "alternative."

We are the horse-and-buggy of fantasy leagues, and even we went to 5x5 in 2003, so I suspect the columns will be clarified as soon as 2010...
