Basic question on depth charts

On the depth charts, some names are in all upper case. What is the significance of this? And is there some place I could have looked up the answer to this question?

If I recall correctly, guys in all caps are new to their teams this year. That might be included in the Notes section... it used to be.

As for where one could look up the answer to the question, I couldn't find anything on the site that would answer this one.

once the season begins, we'll remove ALL CAPS to allow for a more uniform look.
