How long do messages stay on the board?

The old format moved older messages off the discussion board as new messages were posted.

How does this board handle older messages? How long will a message stay available, by default?

A much longer time. We've set no specifications for purging posts so it will be a periodic thing, maybe once every month or so.

If I understand this software (I think it's based on the UBB engine) there is no need to purge old messages. The BBS software will only display the last XX days by default (user configureable). The messages could stay on "forever" but I think there is an archive feature that preserves them but frees up some space and processing cycles.
