Once more, with feeling...

"CTRL C" is copy, "CTRL V" should be paste, not "ALT P". At least for IBM...as far as I know....?

Now if it works this time ...(and I think it just did), thanks a million!!!

I usually use ALT+E+C for copy, and ALT+E+P for paste, which works fine most of the time, but not here.
