  • Position eligibility

I am trying to understand how the positions are assigned in HQ's final 2005 stats. The explanation on the site says:

"The positions listed for batters represent those that they appeared in for at least 20 games in 2004 (a maximum of three are listed per player). For those who did not appear in 20 games, the position they played most at is listed."

I am assuming that you follow the same rules for 2005 data (e.g., players need to have played 20 games at a position in 2005). However, this does not seem to be the case. For example, Chris Burke is listed for 2B, LF, and CF. However, the only position of the three that he played at least 20 games in 2005 was left field.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
