Stay signed in?

With the "new" website, is there some way to stay signed in? Every day I log on, "user name and password please" and sometimes even a "i am not a robot" photo quiz. Come on guys

If your browser allows us to set cookies, you should be logged out very infrequently. There are some gremlins in the Gannett login system we're using that periodically log everyone out if you're using the site. But those tend to only last a minute or three. Other than that, you should only be getting logged out once a month or less. If that's not your experience, check your cookie settings.

You would think forum software would have been updated a few times since the late 90's. Probably time to start updating the CMS across the board.

We intentionally left the forums out of this upgrade. But definitely modernizing things in here is on the agenda down the road.
