  • CHICAGO NL LIVE AUCTION LEAGUE Seeks 1 or 2 New Teams. Highly Competitive.

    30 YEAR, NL ONLY LEAGUE, LOOKING TO ADD 12th TEAM - LIVE AUCTION, 15 KEEPERS, 5x5, $282 ENTRY FEE. AUCTION APRIL 7th.

    -----> 2017 payouts *: 1st - $8500; 2nd - $4250; 3rd - $2500; 4th - $1700. Big Trophy
    -----> Half of owners have been on board for roughly 20+ years, One has been member for 2 seasons, and the rest around/over 10 years. One new expansion team just signed up for 2018 season.
    -----> Average total team costs: 2017 $1699, 2016 $1330. Costs are skewed at the top due to teams in the money battling for top positions.
    -----> Highly Competitive. Everyone plays all year long.

    CONSTITUTION HIGHLIGHTS:

    Format - APRIL 7th - Live NL Only Auction. Every year at Schuba's Tavern
    3159 N Southport Ave, Chicago, IL 60657

    Categories - Hitting (5): AVG., HR, RBI, SB, Runs; Pitching (5): Wins, Saves, ERA, WHIP and Ks.

    Roster size - 25-man, 15 Hitters - (5)OF, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, (2)C, MI INF and CO INF, (2)UT; 10 Pitchers. 1200IP Minimum. Maximum 10 player max Reserve/DL/Minors slots of which no more than 4 can be farm players.

    Farm-Minor Leaguer Draft at the end of the Auction.

    Stat Service: FANTRAX

    Roster Moves: Daily Transactions. 3 day waiver period. $25 FA Pickups. $10 Waiver Claims.


    New Owners:

    1.) EXPANSION - New teams pick one player from each team which has protected 6 players.
    2.) First pick in minor league draft

    Draft Location: Schubas Tavern.

    As much as I would like to join you since I love visiting Chicago and Schubas, it is not in the cards this season.

    But I do have a question about the innings minimum. Last year in our 12 tm NL league, with 10 pitchers per team, only four teams were over 1200 IP. Do all your teams clear that hurdle?

      IP Minimum

      Maybe one or two teams do not meet that minimum each year. Always the guys at the very bottom that have chosen not to spend any more money. The other teams do not benefit in points. The teams that do not meet the minimum zero out in ERA & WHIP.

      Update: It looks like an old school team is rejoining after a length absence. That 12th spot is still open.
