Default Going Into Our 30th Season, Straight,Keeper,6X5 League Seeks 1 to 5 New Owners

    29-SEASON, MIXED LEAGUE HAS ADDED 1 EXPANSION OWNER - 2 SPOTS LEFT - STRAIGHT DRAFT, 5 KEEPERS, 6x5, $50 FIRST-YEAR DISCOUNT OFF $225 FEE!

LOU PINIELLA LEAGUE ENTERING ITS 30TH SEASON

-----> ONE NEW OWNER SIGNED-ON 12/28. Still looking to add one to two more owners who are up to the challenge.
-----> All-inclusive entry fee reduced for new owners for first year (only) to $ 175; current owners pay $ 225.
-----> We have fun here - WE WANT OWNERS WHO ARE PASSIONATE AND INVOLVED.
    -----> Average payouts *: 1st - $ 1,250; 2nd - $ 500; 3rd - $ 250; 4th - $ 100. ( * based on 9 teams)

A number of teams have excess keeper-quality names that they'll have to deal or lose to FA pool for nothing.

Following ten-day offseason trade window for existing teams in early February, expansion teams will then have an opportunity to deal picks for quality players, during which "supplemental picks" will be rendered moot. Only difference between new teams and existing ones is that they will surrender five of first ten rounds picks for their keepers. After that, they will pick first in Rounds 11 through 23th and will have two picks in Rounds 19 through 23 upon assuming later round picks to balance-out deals for picks made to stock pre-Draft Day roster - thus, new teams' rosters will be competitive on Day # 1.

NOTE: Yes, the majority of other leagues who are seeking new owners are doing so by offering the takeover of abandoned rosters - some that are decent and some that aren't. If that's the way you wish to go, sure, by all means do it. However, if you're looking to BUILD a team with five keepers that YOU cherry-picked from good teams' rosters, then this is the place for you! The challenge might be stiffer compared to other leagues when it comes to getting off of the ground, but it will be all the more satisfying when you start climbing-up the standings ladder over time.

    CONSTITUTION HIGHLIGHTS:

    Draft Format - Straight draft.

Categories - Hitting (6): AVG., HR, TBs+W, RBI, NetSB, Runs; Pitching (5): Net Wins, Net Saves + Holds, ERA, WHIP and Ks.

Roster size: 28-man, as follows - 5 OF, 1 each 1B, 2B, 3B, SS and C, 2 MidINF, 2 CoINF and 2 DH; Min. of 5 Starters w/ a max. of 8, Min. of 3 Relievers w/ a max. of 6. There is a Farm-Minor Leaguer Round at the end of the regular 23-round phase.

Stat Service: CUSTOMSTAT since 2007, after prior affiliation with ALLSTAR STATS (1988 - 2006).
CUSTOMSTAT fee - only $ 16 per team (ALLSTAR charged $ 55 per). Price unchanged since we joined CS, and customer response is beyond phenomenal.

Roster Moves: Commissioner enters post-Draft rosters, daily D.L. trade moves/Sunday Free Agent moves.

Expenses: 1.) Draft Day pizza & beverages for attendees, 2.) $ 25 to ROTO CHAMP for use of draft room to accommodate those who cannot attend in-person, and 3.) AWARDS2YOU, for plaque(s) ordered in February.

Offseason Trade Window: Ten-day period following Super Bowl, after which every team then submits their 5-player keeper list to Commissioner. New owners then have opportunity to obtain their five keepers for "supplemental" picks.

    New Owners:

1.) Draft last in every round from Round 1 through Round 10, then draft first in every round from Round 11 through 23. Farm Round # 24 reverts back to Round 1 - 10 format.
2.) Receive five "Supplemental Picks" in Rounds 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 that are surrendered as players are procured via trade.

Draft Location: Draft is held at Commissioner's home in Somerset, New Jersey on the Sunday morning closest to Opening Day.

Draft will be conducted on ROTO CHAMP to accommodate owners who cannot attend.

We now have two of our sought-for Expansion owners as # 2 signed-on earlier today! Still would like to bring at least one more owner who's up to the challenge, and wouldn't mind adding-on a 13th, and even a 14th. It's still early, but once football finally comes to its end on Super Bowl Sunday, the greatest game in America will once again take center stage.

The LPL boasts owners who reside in Somerset, New Jersey; Staten Island, N.Y.; Long Island, N.Y.; as well as Burlington, Vermont; Las Vegas, Nevada and Dallas, Texas. We look forward to hearing from and pitting our rotisserie wits against fellow roto' lovers across the country who are searching for and are up to the challenge of building their club from scratch and climbing up the ladder, just like expansion clubs have in MLB. via schrewd drafts, trades and free agent pick-ups.
