  • Phoenix/Chicago Area - 11 team NL-Only 5x5 Roto League - 1 Vacancy

The 11-team Arizona Fantasy Baseball League (AFBL), now entering our 11th season, seeks experienced rotisserie/fantasy player to take over existing franchise. The rules are Standard Ultra keeper format with a few modifications (23-man roster filled out by auction with each team having a 260 unit salary cap, followed by 12-round reserve draft).

We use CBS as our stat service and have weekly transactions.

League fees usually range from $200-$300 per team per year (i.e $130 league fee, $15 website fee, $5 trophy fee, then $1.25 per each transaction.)

The league fee and all transaction fees are placed in the prize pool and are distributed at year end as follows:

    1st place - 45%
    2nd place - 25%
    3rd place - 15%
    4th place - 10%
    5th place - 5%

We use the following categories to determine our standings:

    Batting average
    Home runs
    Runs batted in
    Stolen bases

    Earned run average

Protected rosters are due on April 5th this year. Each team may protect a maximum of 15 players going into the draft.

Draft day usually lasts about 6 hours. The existing league owners are great baseball fans and stay engaged throughout the season for the most part. I should also mention that there are no anti-dumping rules in place in our league which sometimes results in blockbuster trades during the season, but overall most trades have been fair and have been in the best interest of the league.

Since draft day for our league is less than 2 weeks away, we are looking to fill the vacancy with a qualified owner rather quickly.

You can email me at for additional information. I would be happy to provide our league constitution or answer any questions you may have about our league. Thank you.
