Just read in today's (7/23) AL Marketwatch that Yankee Stadium boosts HRs for righties by 5%. I was so shocked to read that, I nearly vomited in my mouth. While it has that short porch in right (and also right down the left field line), it's 400 ft to the left field power alley and to center. It's commonly thought of as a very difficult right HR park (eg, people often mention how ARods HR feats are so much more impressive because he's doing what no other righty in history has done at Yankee Stadium).
Is the common perception just plain wrong? Could there be a sample size issue (or other issue) in HQ's measurements? Is there another reasonable explanation? Have the fences been moved in? Is there a website to get information on offseason fence movement? What's going on??? My world is upside down.
