Hi HQ,
I have a question about Jimmy Rollins' playing time. In the Forecaster, his projected AB was listed at 676. A couple of weeks ago, I ran the custom draft guide and discovered his ABs decreased to 566 (and as a result his run total decreased by 20).The latest projections estimate him receiving 598 ABs and his run total at 105.
In the course of 8-10 weeks, his projected ABs shifted by 100. I understand as the pre-season progresses, HQ fine tunes playing time, but I am curious to find out why the dramatic shifts for a fairly consistent leadoff hitter on a semi-stable team? Is HQ concerned about the lower part of Philly's order or something else?
FYI: I am by no means criticizing HQ's approach or the shift, just curious to understand why?
Thank you in advance.
