I'm using the CSV export files to do a little year-end analysis, and I think there is bad data in the GB, GBO, FB, FBO, etc. cells. It's also possible, of course, that I'm doing something wrong.
When I sum the 'Ytd_gb' field from the NL Pitcher file, it totals 31,527. When I sum the 'Ytd_gbo' field, it totals 17,366, or 55% of 'Ytd_gb'. This implies that the BABIP on all NL ground balls is 45%, which is clearly incorrect. What am I doing wrong?
On a similar note, will there be a year-end file similar to this one from last year? If so, when is the expected release?
